RIB manufacturer AB Inflatables, an AB Marine Group brand, has announced the launch of its latest model, ABJET 445, and its alliance with Canadian company BRP.
The two companies have joined forces for the development of the new model, which made its debut on the North American market at FLIBS 2016.
As part of the partnership, the new ABJET 445 will be equipped with a Rotax 4-TEC 150 jet propulsion system.
“Our team is confident this offering will give our jet-propelled inflatable line a significant boost in buyer confidence when shopping AB Inflatables,” says Jaime Cristancho, marketing and sales manager for AB Marine Group.
The Rotax powertrain is known for delivering outstanding thrust, offers shallow draft and is CARB and US EPA 4-Star certified as well as compliant with new CE emissions regulations.
Commenting on the partnership, Krista Sparkes, VP sales North America at BRP’s Marine Propulsion Systems division, says: “Becoming a key supplier to AB Inflatables is part of our strategic growth plan for the Rotax 4-TEC jet propulsion system.
“AB Inflatables is a strong manufacturer in the inflatable category with an even stronger reputation for high quality; a perfect match for our Rotax 4-TEC jet propulsion system,” she concludes.
The new ABJET 445 model will be on display at Boot Düsseldorf from January 21-28, 2017.
